"Recently I have been fascinated with the meeting place of earth and sea. The shoreline is a place where voyages begin and end and may also present a place of extreme danger. The sea is a place of immense, incomprehensible depth. I have awarded it great respect ever since as a young child I experienced its power. Yet with all it's fury, we are drawn to the shore, a deep inner yearning calling us to return to the primal birthplace of us all."

La orilla es el lugar donde los viajes empiezan y acaban, y puede representar también un lugar de peligro extremo. El mar es un lugar de inmensa e incomprensible profundidad. Siempre me ha merecido un enorme respeto, desde que era un niño y sentía su poder. Y sin embargo, a pesar de toda su furia, nos sentimos atraídos hacia la costa, siguiendo un anhelo interno que nos devuelve al lugar original de nacimiento de todos nosotros."
